Spectators- Where to watch

The annual Head of the Yarra is held each year on the 4th Saturday in November. The race has 30 categories of racing eights with the elite crews racing in mid afternoon.

Racing starts at 8.00am and runs throughout the day until 4.oopm.,

The river is closed to downstream traffic. All crews row upstream from the City to Hawthorn.
