Sykes Rowing manufacturers of quality Australian racing shells and the Australian distributor of Concept Oars, have taken on the role of assisting interstate and overseas crews to source boats to hire for the Head of the Yarra.

Sykes Rowing will have their service van on-site at the start area of Head of the Yarra on race day.
Crews who may need that last minute piece of equipment or maybe an essential race accessory like a head race rudder can organise purchase and fitting in advance.
Sykes will also be on sight at race finish with a display of their equipment and to provide clubs with the opportunity to discuss their rowing program needs
Crews who are travelling to Melbourne with spare capacity on trailers for return trip may wish to consider taking the opportunity to arrange boat and equipment purchases through Sykes in advance of race day to coordinate delivery.
Boat Hire Through Victorian Clubs & Schools
Victorian Schools and Clubs who have Rowing Boats they wish to hire out can either work directly with Sykes (contact Mark), or liaise directly with clubs who may approach you for rental of boats and oars. Standard format is a hire fee plus a refundable bond equal to your insurance excess in the event of any damage.
