The Head of the Yarra is Australia’s largest rowing race. In recent years the Head of the Yarra has grown significantly, so much so that in 2024 it is expected to attract 2700 athletes in the capped field of 300 rowing eights.
Over 10,000 spectators watch the race along the length of the Yarra while additional rowing enthusiasts watch the live webcast in rowing clubs or on their devices all around the country.
The Head of the Yarra receives national print, television and radio coverage.

DIGITAL - Sponsor's logo is featured on the Head of the Yarra 'app' and website. The website is the sole source of event information for competitors; while the Head of the Yarra 'app' provides an on-the-day interface with competitors and spectators
WEBCAST RACE BROADCAST - Multiple camera points along the Head of the Yarra course combined with GPS tracking devices on each boat provide race position and webcasting of the event. The Head of the Yarra commentary team anchored by Peter Landy provides a live web broadcast of the day’s racing, profiling crews and generating spectator interest both on the web and at the live-site big screen positioned in finish precinct carnival.
All Sponsors of the event have the opportunity for in-program content, sponsor recognition and sponsors advertising within the live web broadcast.
CATEGORY NAMING RIGHTS - Sponsor featured as the naming rights partner of particular race categories
EVENT SALES, PRODUCT SAMPLING & PRODUCT SUPPLY - Supply of services that enhance the experience of our 1700 interstate and International race competitors as well as the 1000 Victorian club rowers. Additionally the finish carnival at the Hawthorn Rowing Club hosts food, drink, merchandise and retail sales booths for the assembled crowd of competitors and an additional 5000 club supporters and spectators.
SPONSOR BRAND EXPOSURE OPPORTUNITIES:
Commemorative T-Shirt. All competitors are given a race t-shirt that prominently feature sponsor's logos
Event Posters. Feature sponsor's logo distributed to, and displayed in, all major rowing clubs 12 weeks prior to the event
Event Signage. Sponsor’s logo is prominently featured on all event signage, including on the backdrop of the podium and presentation stage. All medals and trophies are awarded in front of the backdrop
Event Programme . Sponsor's logo featured in the Head of the Yarra programme
Event Recognition & Interview. Sponsors of the event are recognised by the race announcer, can have an interview and and receive trophy presentation recognition.
